Cracker collectors Lothar Osterburg & Elizabeth Brown are brilliant artists living and working in Brooklyn. One plays an amazing Theremin, Shakuhachi, and other instruments. The other makes dreamy imagery using hand-hewn models and home-made cameras. Click their names for more about each! "Cracker Twins attend a Perforation Society meeting."

This is a great place to get fresh fish, raw oysters right off the boat, and a view of the marsh. We watched an alligator swim by, herons fishing, and lots of trawlers coming and going with their catch. Of course, every meal comes with crackers, so the pewter cracker fit right in.
Jim always sends playful and creative images. It's been fun having him as a collector these last few years. Here's some humor from the Philadelphia Zoo.

"My sister Belinda and I spent $30 at the Art-O-Mat and of course our favorite was the cracker (even though we were a little confused at first). I'm excited to be a part of the cracker community."

"My cracker arrived just in time for a recent art pilgrimage. So I'm e-mailing two photos from the trip. Feel free to post any or all. One is of the cracker visiting the Utah Salt Flats. The second is northwestern Utah at "Sun Tunnels," the impossibly remote environmental masterpiece of Nancy Holt."
Clark Whittington was on hand in my Mother-in-law's home town -- Chattanooga, TN -- to give a talk about the Art-O-Mat project and invite local artists to participate.
